Top 5 Demons in Anime

Hello to all!

Since my newest series, Samuel will be released in next month, I figured I’d do something special to celebrate its upcoming launch. And what better way to do that then to list my Top 5 Demons in Anime?

The rules are similar to my Vampire list; only characters from anime, and beware of spoilers, but to make things more interesting, I will only be considering full-blooded demons, so characters like Rin Okumura won’t be on here.

Sorry, you’re still cool though!

Also, this is my own personal opinion so feel free to share your views in the comments about your favorite demons in anime.

Now then, let’s get to it!

5. Sadou Maou (The Devil is a Part Timer)

sadao_maou_by_hikaruko-da9jp5pAfter escaping defeat from his own world, the Demon Lord Satan has arrived in modern day Japan. Striped of his former power and glory, he now works at a fast food joint to make ends meet.

But if things get dire, and people start fleeing for their lives, you can count on Sadou Maou to be there to raise some hell!

Since his own power increases by absorbing the fear and negative emotions of others, the more serious the situation, the stronger he becomes.

Even though he has fallen from his former glory, he takes the first spot for making the best of things.

4. Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho)

390319-116536-hieiA fire demon born to an all-female race of ice demons, Hiei knows a thing or two about being alone. He is incredibly powerful due to both his Evil Eye and his signature technique, Dragon of the Darkness Flame.

However, he is very cynical and arrogant, constantly belittling humans for their emotions, and even arguing with his own teammates.

But for the sheer amount of destructive power he has, Hiei takes Number 4!

3. Rias Gremory (Highschool DxD)

Rias_Gremory_5The current heir to the Gremory household of devils, Rias Gremory certainly lives up to her title as the “Princess of Destruction.”

She is incredibly powerful, having shown she can take out three fallen angels without little effort, and even shows she can hold her ground against other powerful beings, such as the Fallen Angel General Kokabiel.

However, she does have a kinder side, showing compassion towards her teammates and friends. But, when the world or her family name are at stake, it’s best to stay the hell away from her!

2. Chrono (Chrono Crusade)

6e23aeabe0a56c6a9e0e9b03cad52c38While most would assume a demon to be cruel and vicious towards humans, Chrono is actually a refreshing break from that mold.

He is fiercely loyal to his companions, especially Rossette, his partner and is more than willing to put himself in harms way to protect them.

However, he also seems to feel eternally guilty from his past mistakes and actions, and has a short temper to add on top of that.

But, he still takes Number 2 for breaking the mold, similar to Number 1…

  1. Sebastian Michaelis (Black Butler)

9KZ5IZaNo surprise here!

Sebastian Michaelis takes the top spot! This guy is everything from the other four, and then some.

While other demons may have certain things they are good at, Sebastian is highly skilled at literally everything.

Cooking, cleaning, dispatching your enemies. If you can think it, chances are he can do it.

On top of that, he is very loyal to his master, Ciel Phantomhive.

Bottom line, if you’re looking for a cool demon in anime, Sebastian has you covered, for he is simply…

one hell of a butler!

Thanks for reading my post! I hope you enjoyed it!
